Sales Specialist – Genomic Analysis Software

The company’s bioinformatics solutions lead the market for Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH) and Copy Number Variation (CNV) analysis. Our headquarters are located in Los Angeles, California with commercial distributors worldwide.

We are experiencing rapid growth due to new innovative products and as well as a growing product portfolio and industry partnerships. We are currently seeking Sales professionals to lead our sales activities for products and services for various geographical regions.. As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for growing the business within your assigned territory through sale of products/services to new and existing customers. You will be responsible for forecasting, and executing a professional selling process.

This position can be located anywhere in the US preferably close to a major airport. This position reports to the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate company’s offering and value to potential customers
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales
  • Perform web based demonstrations of Company products
  • Achieve or exceed assigned goal for the territory
  • Professional forecasting and reporting of sales via CRM solution
We require a strong motivation towards declared objectives for the territory. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and performance.

Requirements:
  • BS or MS in a Life Science or Computer Science discipline
  • Experience in Molecular Biology with specific knowledge of microarray technology, especially with the use of software
  • Experience selling biology-related products, technologies and/or services to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/diagnostics/academic markets
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding target goals
  • High energy level and strong work ethics
  • Clear and persuasive telephone skills
  • High level of initiative, independence and flexibility
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to achieve business objectives (20% or less)
